Mamavation Monday

Watch Lives Change

Well I finished my first full week of being a "Mamavation Sista" and as of this morning I lost a total of 4.8lbs. I can't tell you how excited and proud I am to be involved with such a great group of ladies. It is a bit overwhelming, there really is so many of us that it is hard to keep up. I want to wish "good luck to the ones who applied to be a "Mamavation Mom". Leah (@bookieboo ) is going to have a hard decision picking the final five.

Last week was not easy for me, Aunt Flo (wink wink) decided she was going to show up and really test me! I did try to do my Wii Fit , but I have a torn tendon in my right foot and it has been really bad the last few weeks. Went to the Dr on Wed and I am trying to get in to see an Orthopedic as soon as possible. It is hard for me to walk, never mind stand on the Wii Fit Balance Board for 20-30mins. I didn't push it , I think I did very good with my food/points and drinking all that water ( which leads to all that peeing ) but didn't beat myself up that I wasn't doing the Wii. "Baby steps", right?

I am focused on my goal of 40lbs by my 40th birthday and will do it!

I have decided to reward myself, with every 10lbs I lose, I am going to treat myself to a manicure. I never do this, the last time I had a manicure was May of 2009 and then probably 2 years before that. So that is it, keeping it short and sweet cuz I know all my Sistas are going to be busy checking up on eachother.

See all you ladies tonight at the Mamavation Show on MomTv at 10pm EST

Thanks for being there supporting me and eachother, and if anyone ever needs me I am @Tina529 on Twitter.

Luv ya Ladies.....

I LOVE your 'treat' for every 10 pounds. I'm going to have to put together a milestone list of my own.

I know it's hard to stick with it when you have an injury - good for you!!

I set up a reward chart for myself too. For my first 10 lbs lost, I'm getting a pedicure. I love to treat my feet and I don't do it very often.

Great job this week!!

Tina, you rock!! Great rewards for yourself is very motivating. Very good on that. :) Been through the ankle injury, good luck with that. Keep doing what you can and eating right. You'll reach your goals.

You know, I think a manicure is an awesome gift to reward yourself!
I haven't had one in years!

You are about 1/2 way to your first manicure, that is pretty darn impressive. Ouch, about your foot! Do take it easy. If you have to back off do you have time or access to a pool? Something to keep in mind just in case. I hope you heal well!

Wow! You lost 4.8 lbs with an injured foot? Holy smokes! Have you been doing tricep dips, crunches and push-ups to do it? Those are some exercises you can do while injured.
Keep up the good work and I'll see ya on MomTV in a few minutes - cheers!

I hope you foot heals! A torn tendon is nothing to mess with. I messed my ankle up in middle school and didn't let it heal. So take that advice to let it heal! Take care and keep going. You are doing great!!

You lost 4.8 pounds in one week? Holy moly, that is great. I will totally come and get pedicures with you while you get your manicures, ok? :-)

A manicure is a perfect reward - not so expensive to make you feel guilty, not food related at all, and doesn't require trying things on - I've used jeans as a reward before only to get upset when they still didn't fit right. Keep it up! Your nails are going to be in GREAT shape, along with the rest of you!
