Weigh-In Wednesday

Ok, i am just going to get the "bad news" out of the way...........i stayed the "same" at tonight's Weight Watchers meeting!! I know i should be grateful that i didn't gain, but it is still a hard pill to swallow! I even let a women go ahead of me tonight, so i could weigh-in on scale #2. That was the "hot" scale last week, giving everyone weight loss #'s that they were not expecting. There was a part of me that thought "even though my scale at home hadn't budged that maybe just maybe the one at Weight Watchers would pull through again." NO SUCH LUCK!

So this is my 2nd "Weigh-In Wednesday" post and i really was hoping i would have been able to say that i had a total weight loss of -10lbs. I really have no one to blame but myself....i really have not been keeping track of my points for the last week or two. I was soo good the 1st week about writing every little thing down and then just........

Our meeting's "theme" for the night was "Movivation : Lost and Found" which is the truth. I found it and then lost it just as quickly!!! Now i am in the process of finding it again.......i am going to "vow" to write everything down all week!!
I feel that it gets very depressing realizing that even when i lose the weight i want to lose...( not sure what that number will be yet) that i can't go back to just eating what i want when i want...that i am going to have to live the rest of my life like this. I know it is a "life-style" change just need to find the way to accept it and move on!!!

Well, i will catch ya later....going go see if i can find that damn "Motivation"......"COME OUT, COME OUT, WHEREVER YOU ARE!!!!

Are you active in your child's PTO/PTA?

I will be totally honest here, this is the first year that i have been full-on active in my son's school PTO. It was not by my choice either, in the begining of the year the school has an "Ice Cream Social" where they have sign up sheets for all the different activites going on in the upcoming school year. I was talking with one of the other mom's i had become friendly with and she convinced me to write my name on EVERY sheet!! (Thanks, Jackie!!)
I started to go to every monthly PTO Business Meeting, which i quickly realized was pathetic. Other then the actual Board members, there was no teachers there and only a hand full of parents. It was then i realized i had to stay involved and help out the best i could. So i have been "All-in" since Sept. Helping with "Pumpkin Decorating Night" in Oct... "Holiday Craft Night" and "Holiday Store" in Dec. "1st Annual Family Dance" we had in Feb the "Yankee Candle Fundraiser" in March and just this Friday night i helped out with our "1st Annual Movie Night"

Next year there is an open slot for a Co Vice-President and all the other mom's on the Board have nominated me....which they almost forgot to tell me before the flyer went home notifying all the parents. We found out that at least one other mom has thrown her name into the pot, but she really hasn't been that involved and in the begining of the year she wrote a nasty letter to the Superintendent and Principal stating "she didn't like the way our PTO ran things" Hellooooo, your one and only son is in Kindergarden!!!! I would like to know how the hell she even knows how things are run!!! So needless to say, they board would rather me be on and not her!! It is way more responsiblity then anyone ever thinks, but it is for the "kids" and we all have to remember that!!! So now that i have learned more about all the PTO actually does, i urge more parents to help out. It wouldn't be sooo much on the few mom's who do get involved if just more would donate a little time.

Now i have to "campaign" for votes as to not let my new friends on the Board down. It isn't going to be easy, she just seems to know everyone!! As my friend Cheryl says ( and "for someone who is not "SHY" you are "SHY". Which is a very very true statement. I am going to work on that and write up a Bio of why i should be the next Co Vice-President and get myself out there!!! SCAREY

So my question is.... "are you active in your child's PTO/PTA?"

going to give this another try....

I am talking about blogging and Weight Watchers. I tried to start a blog a couple months ago and didn't like where it was going...But i realized now i just have to be myself and talk about everything (the good , the bad and the ugly) So bear with me and i will learn this sooner or later...

Now that i have gotten that out of the way...back to my Weight Watchers. I am going to call my posts on wednesdays "Weigh-in Wednesday" it is the day i have my Weight Watchers meetings. It will be when i post my weight loss for the week, good/funny things i learned at my meetings and maybe my goals for the following week. This is my 3rd or 4th try at Weight Watchers most recent was last year at this time, and i lost 25lbs..but when my mother-in-law left for Canada in July, i never kept up on it by myself.

Now i am back and this time i would like to get past that 25lbs mark...i always get stuck after that. I have technically 90lbs to lose, but i can't think of it that way...i have decided that no matter what the scale says, my goal is to be in a size 14/16 and never have to shop in the "Women's" section of any store again!!!!

This is my 3rd week and i lost 2.2lbs this week and that was a big surprise...cuz my scale at home hasn't budged all week!! My total lose is 8.6lbs and my goal for this coming week is to make sure i hit -10 lbs!!

see you next week for "Weigh-in Wednesday" thanks for the support, it really does help!! :)
