Yesterday was the 1st day of school for my kids. My son Thomas (in above photos) is in 4th Grade now. My oldest son Nick started 11th Grade (wouldn't let me take his picture at 6:45am, guess I can't blame him). I look forward to the 1st day just like most mom's.... I really need the "routine" of the school year just as much, if not more then my kids do.
It has been a long/ crazy/weird summer , between the weather not really cooperating , my step-grandson being born 2 months early, Nick having Driver's Ed classes 4x's a week for 3 weeks
and lots of in-law drama it really has thrown me "off". So I have been waiting for school to start not just to get my kids out of the house, but for the structure that the school year brings.

I need new things, new postitive things to focus on..... This will be my first year serving as Vice President of Thomas' school's PTO and I have to say I am looking forward to planning all the fun events we have in mind. This year is also very important for Nick, as a Junior he will be taking his SAT's and will get his license in the next couple of months.
So I am hoping this year brings lots of great memories for all of us and all of you!!
Thanks
xoxo
