Getting My Groove Back
Posted by
Tina
Wow, this post will be my first real post in what feels like months. I'm so out of the blogging groove, haven't been posting, reading or commenting. I really do need to get back on a schedule for my sanity's sake. My brain feels very scattered, hard to concentrate on how and what I want to say. I think that is why I haven't been around much at all lately. When I do sit at the computer, I do a little tweeting some talking on Facebook but mostly play Bejeweled and Yacht.
I have alot going on in my life with the kids, hubby, house, taking care of my grandson 4 days a week. As if all that isn't enough, I now am the President of Thomas' elementary school's PTO, so there is alot to do for that before school even starts. Nicholas is going to be a Senior in High School this year and just thinking about all that is going to need to be done, exhausts me.
This summer is going pretty well so far, it's been hot so we've been in the pool alot. We've seen a couple movies, had a couple parties and some relaxing.
Nicholas is working on taking a Pre Calculus and Trigonometry online class, playing some shows with his band and hanging out with his friends.
Thomas is lovin' being lazy and looking forward to our vacation to the Poconos in August. I need to get him on a reading schedule and have him work on his division facts. I feel so bad doing that to him, but he really needs to keep his brain working.
I've got some projects coming up, which I'm excited about being a part of. Those will lead to some posts, so that's even better. I feel like I am getting my "Bloggin Groove" back and hopefully it's here to stay. Now, I gotta finish this post, work on some others and get back into reading and commenting on yours.

I want to be a good blogger when I grow up

I have spent most of my time lately Blog hopping instead of posting. I find it more therapeutic to read what others have to say. Can I tell you I have come across some awesome blogs and I am just jealous. The writing and honesty in the writing is as if I am sitting right there having a conversation with them. I know it is very immature, but I love it when a blogger isn't afraid to use swears in a post! I guess it makes me feel like, "see I am not the only one with the mouth of a truck driver". Although, on most days I could probably give a truck driver a run for their money.
When I first started on this venture, I thought "my life is sooo like a Soap Opera I will have material to write every freakin day!" Then all my insecurities came out like, "who the hell gives a crap about what I have to say" and "my writing sucks I never use periods, commas and I hate to capitalize." On my first blog I ever did, I decided to just go for it and write about some shit that was going on in my family.......well after 2 posts I felt like a raving lunatic and decided that is not what I wanted the world to see of me. Then I became obsessed with how my blog looked and getting a "button" I thought that was what made you in the blogging world. After that I was (and still am) worried about the name of my blog, I was never "in love with it". So now I am still worried about my blog name and design ( I know some people don't like the black background and dark colors, but I don't particularly care for plain-jane either. So I need to find something in the middle)
My point is, that I have finally come to the conclusion that blogging isn't all about the design, buttons or even about having hundreds of followers........... it is about writing something that will make someone else feel happy or feel like "jeez, Thank God I'm not the only one." I know that I am still going to have Bad Days when I think to myself "why the hell am I am doing this again?" But I do always seem to come back to it. So will have to excuse my grammar, punctuation and lack of good design for now. When I grow up I want to just be a good blogger.
Thanks
xoxo

Trying To Get My Motivation Back
Posted by
Tina
I am sitting here at 11:45pm tired and thinking I should just go to bed....but as usual this is the time of night that I sit and think about everything I didn't get done today during the day. How I could have gotten on my Wii Fit and didn't. How I really didn't "do" my Weight Watchers like I should have. So I get out my notebook and write-out "the list" and vow to do everything that is making me feel soo guilty tomorrow.......well guess what, that has been going on now for about a month or so!!
I can't seem to get my SHIT together!!! I need a "pill" or maybe a swift kick in the ASS!! I am sure it is a vicious cycle...maybe if I did exercise and lose weight I would have more energy to do the stuff around my house that I need/want to do. But I am a "stress" eater...so the more I stress about what has to get done, and what hasn't the more I say, "screw-it...where's the ice cream?"!!
Once again, I will get out my notebook and write "the list" and maybe just maybe tomorrow will be the day that my motivation decides to find me, before I run my fat-ass out to Wal-mart and Stop&Shop. (cuz, ya know that is where i go to run and hide from it!!)
Thanks for listening to my crazy late-night rant
